Music is My Motivator

....Ican't lie and pretend like I'm #gymlife...

I hate working out, absolutely hate it. I cant lie and pretend like I'm #gymlife, but what saves my workouts and motivates me to get that last squat in....none other than music! There is nothing like a good playlist to get you pumped up to finish your workout. Day 16...

Today is day 16 of my journey to a better me. 

I have to say that it has been easy and hard at the same time.

The hardest part for me is the diet (isn't it always lol)...this diet is extremely restricted, and i don't recommend it for those who crave variety in their food. My oldest son however, has been loving it because i have been tasked with figuring out small, simple, easy, meals for him, because what kid wants to eat egg whites and asparagus? Last night he had homemade pizza rolls and tonight...mac n' cheese mixed with broccoli and sausage (his favorite).

So, this is what my meals looked like for the past two weeks. I took one or two meals and put them in heavy rotation for these first two weeks, I'm a creature of habit, so i don't mind munching on the same thing for a week. ;0))


  •  1 Protein Shake
  • 6 large strawberries

Lettuce Wrapped Hamburger

  •  1 4 Oz lean hamburger patty
  • 4 sheets of lettuce (to wrap)
  • 2 tsp of Mustard
  • 2 tsp of Walden Farms Ketchup
  • 1 Orange

Lemon Garlic Shrimp & Pasta

  • 1 serving of shrimp (measuring out to 4 oz raw)
  • 1 serving of Miracle noodle Angle Hair pasta
  • Juice from 1 lemon
  • 1/2 white onion
  • Garlic powder (to taste)

Work Out

To say that i worked out everyday for the past two weeks, would be...a lie lol. While i attempted to get a workout in every day after work, sometimes, i was just too exhausted. However, on the days that i did miss i added those workout routines to my next session. 

Review: How to Get Abs (7 day) & How to Get a Booty (30) days by Brittne Babe 

 I have to say that i enjoyed these workouts (as much as you can enjoy working out), they didn't take up much time and i was able to do all of them within the comfort of my home. All of the routines are difficultly simple, meaning they are not insanely intense crossfit workouts but you do feel the burn and are sore the next morning. 

  I started out at 202.2 lbs and as of this morning i am now at 193.4 lbs, for a total of 8.8 lbs lost. :o)) Below are my results so far. The first picture is from the morning of my Red Mountain Med Spa appointment (Day 1), the second picture is from day 8, and the third picture is from this morning (day 16).

Next week i will be facing a huge challenge...resisting New Mexican food! I'm going home for the memorial day weekend and I'm not sure i'll be able to resist Green Chile Cheeseburgers, Blakes, or Twisters burritos, so say a prayer for me...I'll need it!

Journey Begins...

Today i began my journey to a better body...

My Goal:

To destroy all insecurities i have with my physical appearance, i recognize them all and they can all be removed. I have spent the majority of my life damaging myself by constantly analyzing and comparing my flaws and also being analyzed and compared by others. To be 100% happy with my body is my goal. What does this look like? well, I'm not sure yet, but when i picture how i would like to look the image is similar to the picture to the right.

My Plan

While i'd love to be the blogger posting gym pics and squat videos, unfortunately, i will not be. As a single mom of two boys, who works full time, is a full time student, and the sole provider for my household, it just doesn't make sense to spend time and money on a gym membership. So my plan will consist of RM3, dieting, and home workouts.

  • RM3: "RM3 is an exclusive 3-Step comprehensive program that is designed to help people lose weight faster, and help them sustain that weight loss over time. RM3′s three steps feature a proprietary prescription medication, diet plan, fat burning shots and supplements known to cause effective weight loss." With this program, i take two pills; one in the evening and one at night, stick to the diet plan, and it is recommended to do light to moderate exercise.
  • Diet: The diet is a low calorie (no calorie counting) diet focused on high protein and vegetables, moderate fruit intake, and zero carbs. I will do my bloggers best to post pictures and recipes of the meals that work for me. :0)
  • Workouts: Light to moderate exercise is recommended because the low calorie diet is not enough to sustain high intensity workouts. My first option was to go with Jillian Michaels, because she has helped me in the past, but after reviewing her video, i do believe it may be a bit to intense, so, I came across what i like to call an "instapreneur" (someone who has built their business with the help of social media), her IG name is @brittnebebe, she is a trainer with an amazing background and a line of workout videos that concentrate on building glutes, abs, and legs. I would like to focus on my problem areas; my stomach, thighs, and of course the booty! lol 

I have been absolutely dreading posting my before and progress pictures on the internet of all places lol but *sigh* accountability right? So here you go, below is my before picture as of today. I currently weigh 202.2 lbs, my goal is to be around 150 lbs.
